National Night Out

National Night Out is celebrated nationally on the first Tuesday of August. This celebration is a way for neighbors to work with law enforcement to address crime issues in their neighborhood. Due to the Ozark Empire Fair and Park Days being held the first week in August, Springfield Missouri has chosen to celebrate this event the Friday before or after school begins, please check the GBNA Calendar for the exact date.

GBNA's National Night Out activities include, sprinkler hose (because it is hot in August), games for the kids, a potluck dinner (meat and drinks provided), tie-dying T-shirts, music, karaoke, various law enforcement, National Guard, & fire vehicles, crafts, door prizes, special guests and special performances, AND LOTS OF OPPORTUNITY TO GET TO KNOW YOUR NEIGHBORS!  People brought lawn chairs, food and smiles....
