Detailed Description of Home For Sale

Professionally remodeled Victorian home. Newly painted outside & inside with all new oversized windows throughout. Inside has been completely remodeled while retaining the wonderful Victorian woodwork and trim. Tall ceilings (9’9” on main floor and 7 ½ foot ceilings upstairs) and lots of light make this a wonderful family home.  New sculpted carpet on main floor is reminiscent of the Victorian era.

Spacious covered front porch leads to a beautiful new front door. Inside you will find new windows, new paint, new carpet, new ceramic tile, beautiful texturing on walls and ceilings, and the wonderful Victorian woodwork, baseboards and trim.

The living room room has the grand staircase, and it is open to the formal dining room. Formal dining is very large and has a pass through opening to the all-new kitchen. The kitchen features gorgeous 18” ceramic tile, new oak cabinets, striking countertops, great lighting, and a new dishwasher. There is a large set of bay windows in the casual dining area of the kitchen. The master bedroom is located on the ground floor near the back of the home with an all-new full master bath. This master bath features a granite countertop on a new vanity and a shower/tub combination.  There is an unfinished room beyond the master bedroom that would make a great sitting area looking out over the backyard.
The utility room is located at the back of the main floor.

Upstairs is spacious, light and all new. There are 4 bedrooms and a full bath. The hall is wide and the upstairs ceilings are 7 ½’ tall. Each of the bedrooms are light filled with at least 2 oversized windows in each bedroom. One bedroom is large enough (16’5”x13’8”) to be used as a master. One bedroom does not have a closet and could be made into an office or study. The upstairs bathroom is large with new vanity with granite countertop and shower/tub combination with striking glass block ½ wall.

If you have or are planning a large family, you can walk to Weaver Elementary School and Grant Beach Park is only ½ block away. This city park has swimming pool tennis and basketball courts, large playgrounds, baseball diamond, a pavilion and even a full size train. This spacious home is also very near Cox North Hospital.

The Grant Beach Neighborhood Betterment Association is a group of citizens working together to maintain and improve the quality of living in our area. We meet monthly on a regular basis to address neighborhood concerns, and encourage residents to start smaller neighborhood watch groups in their block. We believe that people should actively participate as citizens in a democracy and as neighbors in in a community. We are a group of citizens interested in working together to maintain and improve the living quality of our neighborhood, motivate the city to address our concerns, be a spawning ground for neighborhood watch programs and build a sense of community among us. Working together, there is little that cannot be done, working apart there is little that can be done.

Mission Statement: "Improving the quality of life in our neighborhood"

This website is simply a tool we use to help keep our neighbors connected to each other, to their neighborhood and to their City of Springfield, Missouri. Please consider attending the monthly meeting. Potluck Dinner for the whole family and Free child care for the meeting
